PT Vita Nova Atletik under their specialized running brand, Ortuseight running, has once again piqued curiosity by launching their latest limited edition. Collaborating with Andy Wibowo, this time they introduce HYPERBLAST H.O.P.E, a series of running shoes with thick cushioning that carries a special message for Indonesian runners. As a triathlon athlete, Andy Wibowo's activities are deeply connected to nature. "Right now, I feel fortunate that I can still swim in beautiful and clean seas, run in areas with abundant trees, and bike in the great outdoors. But if we are selfish, if we don't take care, if we don't preserve, then future generations won't have the opportunity to experience these things," said the former swimmer who also won a silver medal at the SEA Games 2003.
Apart from being an option for both beginners and professional runners as recreational or recovery running shoes, HYPERBLAST H.O.P.E is also created as a statement item or reminder for Indonesian youth to proactively care for the environment. "I am still learning about simple things that can have a big impact, such as not littering, separating recyclable waste, and using reusable items. I believe that small things can bring about significant changes," said Andy. Through the illustration of a smiling Earth on HYPERBLAST H.O.P.E, it is hoped to become a symbol for its users to start caring for the environment.
In terms of design, the combination of colors features a white-dominant surface body with camo and bright pink on the bottom sole, ensuring an eye-candy and colorful appearance on the running runway. "We have chosen a black-and-white camo color scheme and gray as a representation of the harmful effects of pollution, reminding us all that the environment is no longer healthy. A sea full of garbage and polluted air should not be an ideal habitat for us to live in, and we must make changes for a better earth, for future generations," said Octrisany D. Putra, representative of Ortuseight.
The upper material of the shoes is made of Jacquard Mesh and PU Nosew with QuickFit technology, present in all Ortuseight's flagship upper shoes. The soft inner lining material ensures a precise fit and follows the user's foot shape. There is also the OrtStrap technology, a thin layer of ultra-thin PU material located on the inner side of the shoe. Additionally, OrtFlow is incorporated as a technology that uses engineered mesh material for the ventilated upper part of the shoe, complemented by OrtKnit, a knitting technology that provides flexibility and follows the foot shape. OrtKnit also ensures good air circulation in the shoes, making the feet feel more comfortable. The shoe also features an OrtShox technology sockliner that follows the contour of the user's foot, allowing for comfortable steps on the soft yet responsive cushioning. The EVA Compression Midsole distinguishes this series from other running shoes as it has a Phylon Compression midsole designed to protect the feet from impact injuries, while the 55 rubber hardness of the outsole, combined with CumulusFoam technology, offers a non-slip experience. This is Ortuseight's flagship Injection Phylon material that provides a very soft and lightweight sensation for immense comfort in this crucial area.
As a conclusion, Andy Wibowo delivers a special message: "With this special edition, I hope that runners or sports enthusiasts can be more aware of the health or cleanliness of the environment, in addition to their own physical health because the impacts of environmental destruction are already being felt, such as global warming."
